To provide graduates with both a thorough grounding in the fundamental concepts of computer
science and the research skills necessary to keep abreast of the continually and rapidly evolving
state of the art in computer science.
To equip graduates with the technical skills required to participate successfully in the current
and future information technology workforce.
To equip graduates with organizational, social, and communication skills that will allow them
to participate productively and ethically in the current and future information technology workforce.
A total of 120 units will be required for the major. There are 67 units in the required
courses listed here. The remaining 53 course units will come from General Education
requirements and electives.
