## Math Programs

### Liberal Studies Math and Science Options

#### Math Focus

**IVC:** Statistics, Precalculus and Calculus 1 (Note: If pressed for time, replace core science Phsc110 at IVC with Chem308 at SDSU-IV later.)

**SDSU-IV:** Transitions to higher math 302, Math for the middle grades 413, and one course from Math History 303, Math Modeling 336, Applied Probability Stat550 or another upper division math elective selected with approval from Dr. Verzi. Be aware that SDSU-IV math courses are only available once every two years, so plan ahead.

Choosing the math focus will allow you to add subject matter authorization in mathematics to your multiple subject teaching credential, to include middle school mathematics.
