BA in Math for Teaching
IVC: Calculus 1, 2, 3; Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Statistics, Software Workshop,
Recommend Physics,

SDSU-IVC: Transitions to higher math, Math History, Probability, Curriculum and instruction, Foundations of Geometry, Abstract Algebra and Advanced Calculus and one electives selected with approval of Dr. Verzi; and TE Field Experience.

Jobs:
This program delivers a well-prepared high school math teacher, and can also prepare you to work in business, industry and government, or go on to graduate school in math, science or business.

Liberal Studies Math Focus
IVC Statistics, Precalculus and Calculus 1.
SDSU-IV Transitions to higher math 302, Math for the middle grades 413, and one course from Math History 303 or an upper division math elective selected with approval from Dr. Verzi. Be aware that SDSU-IV math courses are only available once every two years, so plan ahead.

Choosing the math focus will allow you to add subject matter authorization in mathematics to your multiple subject teaching credential, expanding your credential to include middle school mathematics.
